Steps

  • Fry the bacon for 3 minutes until crisp.
  • Add butter and garlic, cooking for 1 minute.
  • Stir in the flour to form a paste.
  • Gradually whisk in 150ml of milk and 50ml of cream.
  • Add 50g of sweetcorn and simmer until the liquid thickens.
  • Stir in the steamed clams and season with salt and pepper.
  • Garnish with chives and serve with bread.
