Steps

  • Whisk water into the flour gradually to create a thick batter and mix in the chilli.
  • Fry the sliced onion in 30ml of vegetable oil until soft and remove with a slotted spoon.
  • Combine the prawns, salmon, haddock, and cooked onion in a clean bowl.
  • Heat 400ml of vegetable oil in a deep saucepan until a breadcrumb sizzles.
  • Dip tablespoon-sized portions of fish mixture into batter and deep-fry for 10 minutes until golden.
  • Drain the bhajis on paper and serve with coriander, chutney, and yoghurt.
