Steps

  • Place beef and tongue in a large pan and cover with cold water.
  • Bring to a boil slowly and remove surface scum with a slotted spoon.
  • Add chopped vegetables, salt, pepper, and bouquet garni to the pan.
  • Cover and simmer the mixture over low heat for two hours.
  • Add chicken and sausages and simmer for another two hours until tender.
  • Remove the meat and vegetables from the pan and keep them warm.
  • Add spaghetti to the simmering broth and cook for 7-10 minutes.
  • Serve the broth followed by the meat, vegetables, mustard, and gherkins.
