Steps

  • Place the tuna steaks onto a plate.
  • Whisk apricot jam, soy sauce, coriander seeds, and cumin seeds together in a bowl.
  • Pour the marinade over the tuna and coat thoroughly.
  • Let the tuna marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Heat a griddle pan until very hot.
  • Cook the tuna for one minute, rotate 90 degrees, and cook for another minute.
  • Flip the fish and cook for 1 to 1.5 minutes for a rare finish.
  • Remove the tuna from the pan and let it rest for one minute.
  • Toss the salad leaves, mooli, beans, chillies, mint, and coriander in a bowl.
  • Whisk lime juice, fish sauce, soy sauce, and palm sugar to create a dressing.
  • Mix the dressing into the salad until well combined.
  • Carve the tuna into thick slices and serve alongside the salad.
