Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C and place a baking sheet inside to heat.
  • Blend flour, butter, sugar, quark, and ginger syrup in a food processor until a dough forms.
  • Knead dough lightly on a floured surface and pat to 2cm thickness.
  • Cut out four rounds using a 5cm pastry cutter.
  • Bake rounds on the hot sheet for eight minutes until risen and golden.
  • Simmer honey, vanilla pod, seeds, and orange juice in a pan for 3 minutes until thickened.
  • Drizzle the warm syrup over the scones and serve.
