Steps

  • Mix onion, garlic, chilli, beef, and egg in a bowl and season.
  • Form the mixture into four patties approximately 3cm thick.
  • Chill the patties in the fridge for 30 to 60 minutes.
  • Brush one side of patties with oil and grill on a hot barbecue for 5 minutes.
  • Oil the other side, flip, and grill for 5 more minutes until cooked through.
  • Rest the burgers for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Toast the halved burger buns on the grill for 2 minutes.
  • Serve burgers in the toasted buns with your choice of toppings.
