Steps

  • Wash the rice and place it into a pie-dish with the sugar and 1.13L of milk.
  • Stir the ingredients together and add the small pieces of butter or minced suet.
  • Grate nutmeg over the top of the mixture.
  • Bake in a moderate oven for 1.5 to 2 hours until the rice is tender.
