Steps

  • Grate the pears into a saucepan and cover with 500ml of water.
  • Boil for 15 minutes until the pear strands are tender and water has evaporated.
  • Add strawberries and boil for five minutes until liquid has evaporated again.
  • Add sugar and lemon juice, boiling until the mixture reaches 105°C.
  • Stir in vanilla seeds and allow to cool for three minutes.
  • Spoon the hot jam into clean jars and seal immediately.
