Steps

  • Simmer cream, milk, and vanilla in a pan, then remove the pod.
  • Whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale.
  • Pour hot cream over the eggs while whisking constantly.
  • Return mixture to the pan and stir over low heat until thickened.
