Steps

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over high heat.
  • Fry prosciutto for one minute per side until crisp and drain on paper.
  • Heat more olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Fry the onion and garlic until they become soft.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and fry for 4 minutes until soft.
  • Stir in chives and season with salt and pepper.
  • Arrange basil leaves in a circle on a serving plate.
  • Place halved tomatoes on the leaves and spoon dressing over them.
  • Place the prosciutto in the center and season again.
