Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Roll the pastry to a 0.5cm thickness on a floured surface and place on the tray.
  • Roll out the marzipan and place it on the pastry, leaving a 3cm border.
  • Place the plum quarters on the marzipan and sprinkle with muscovado sugar.
  • Brush the pastry border with egg and bake for 20 minutes until golden.
  • Beat the mascarpone, orange zest, orange juice, flower water, and icing sugar together.
  • Serve slices of the hot tart with the cold orange mascarpone.
