Steps

  • Whip the double cream until thick and fold in walnuts and honey.
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Roll out puff pastry thinly and prick with a fork.
  • Cut four rectangles measuring 10 cm by 20 cm.
  • Place rectangles on a non-stick greased baking tray.
  • Brush edges with melted butter and spread quince jelly in the center.
  • Arrange apple slices over the jelly layer.
  • Drizzle with remaining butter and sprinkle with caster sugar.
  • Bake for 5 to 6 minutes until golden brown.
  • Glaze hot slices with remaining butter.
  • Serve slices with a spoonful of the honey and walnut cream.
