Steps

  • Gently warm 450ml of olive oil in a saucepan.
  • Add the chilli flakes and whole chillies to the oil and heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and allow the oil to cool slightly.
  • Strain the oil into a sterilised glass bottle using a funnel.
  • Add the dried chillies from the pan into the bottle and seal it.
  • Store the bottle in the refrigerator and use within one week.
