Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 170°C and line a large baking tray with parchment.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, and sugar in a bowl, then slowly add eggs to form a dough.
  • Stir in the chopped hazelnuts and orange zest.
  • Knead the dough gently on a floured surface and divide it into two portions.
  • Roll each portion into a 25cm log, place on the tray, and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Cool logs slightly and cut diagonally into 1.5–2cm thick slices.
  • Lay slices on the tray and bake for 5–7 minutes per side until golden-brown.
  • Remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
