Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Grease a 23x33cm Swiss roll tin.
  • Rub the butter into the flour in a bowl using your fingertips.
  • Stir in the caster sugar and orange zest.
  • Mix in 150ml of milk using a flat knife until combined.
  • Smooth the mixture into the prepared tin.
  • Place halved plums on top, cut side up.
  • Place a small dot of butter onto each plum.
  • Combine demerara sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the plums.
  • Drizzle with orange juice.
  • Bake for 20 minutes until the base is golden and plums are juicy.
