Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  • Blend flour, sugar, 50g butter, and salt in a food processor until breadcrumbs form.
  • Add milk gradually until a dough forms and stir in the sultanas.
  • Roll out dough to 2.5cm thickness on a floured surface and cut into 5cm circles.
  • Griddle scones in remaining butter for 3 minutes per side and bake for 6 minutes.
  • Melt sugar in a pan, stir in pecans and orange juice, then cool on a sheet.
  • Serve scones topped with the caramelised pecans.
