Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  • Mix the flour, spices, baking powder, salt, sugar, milk, butter, and peel in a bowl.
  • Bring the mixture together by hand to form a dough.
  • Roll the dough on a floured surface to a 0.5cm thickness.
  • Cut shapes with a cookie cutter, place on the tray, and garnish with almonds.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden-brown and cool on a wire rack.
