Steps

  • Combine lukewarm water, sugar, yeast, and 100g of flour in a bowl and let rise for 2–3 hours.
  • Add milk, salt, remaining flour, butter, and egg to the mixture and knead into a firm dough.
  • Let the dough rise for another 2 hours.
  • Sauté chopped onion and garlic in olive oil until translucent.
  • Stir in ham, cheese, parsley, and caraway seeds, then season and cool.
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Roll dough thinly and cut into 12 circles.
  • Place filling on circles, brush edges with egg, fold, and seal.
  • Place pies on a greased tray and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden.
