Steps

  • Heat oil in a casserole and soften the onion for 5 minutes.
  • Add garlic and cook for 1 minute before adding crumbled sausage and porcini.
  • Brown the meat while stirring, then pour in the wine and crushed tomatoes.
  • Simmer the sauce over very low heat for 1 hour.
  • Add mushroom soaking liquid if the sauce requires more moisture.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Boil the pasta in salted water for 10-12 minutes until al dente.
  • Toss the pasta with the sauce and serve immediately.
