Steps

  • Boil the rice with turmeric for 15-17 minutes until firm, then drain.
  • Melt butter in a pan and sauté the onion for 5 minutes until soft.
  • Add mushrooms to the pan and fry for 4 minutes until softened.
  • Combine the rice, salmon, herbs, and boiled eggs in a bowl and season.
  • Cut the puff pastry into a 30cm x 20cm rectangle.
  • Place the salmon mixture in the center and wrap the pastry around it.
  • Glaze with beaten egg, place on a tray, and chill for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
