Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Blanch the carrots in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain.
  • Arrange carrots and asparagus on a baking sheet.
  • Add butter, olive oil, salt, and pepper over the vegetables.
  • Roast in the oven for 6 minutes.
  • Add orange juice, sugar, sesame seeds, and the orange half to the tray.
  • Roast for another 5 minutes until tender and caramelized.
  • Serve warm and discard the cooked orange half.
