Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Boil milk, cream, and vanilla in a pan for one minute then cool.
  • Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy then fold in flour.
  • Whisk the cooled milk mixture into the egg mixture and set aside.
  • Heat butter in an ovenproof dish until foaming.
  • Bake plums and brown sugar for 5 minutes.
  • Pour batter over plums and scatter with flaked almonds.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until golden-brown and set.
  • Dust with icing sugar and serve immediately with cream.
