Steps

  • Preheat the grill to high.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry bacon for two minutes per side until browned.
  • Drain bacon on kitchen paper and set aside.
  • Melt butter in the same pan and fry shallots for two minutes until soft.
  • Remove from heat and stir in Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and Tabasco.
  • Shuck oysters and place them into their deep shells on a baking tray.
  • Spoon sauce over oysters and top with broken bacon pieces.
  • Grill oysters for 1.5 to 2 minutes until bubbly and cooked.
  • Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
