Steps

  • Fry the chopped onion and grated garlic in olive oil for 5 minutes until soft.
  • Add beef and fry for 5 minutes until browned.
  • Stir in chilli seasoning, a little stock, tomato purée, chopped tomatoes, remaining stock, and ketchup.
  • Simmer the sauce uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Boil the rice in salted water for 25 minutes or per instructions.
  • Stir in kidney beans and cook for 2 minutes to heat through.
  • Season with salt and pepper and serve with the rice.
