Preheat the oven to 190°C and grease a 900g loaf tin.
Combine the flours, bicarbonate of soda, and salt in a bowl.
Whisk the buttermilk, egg, and honey together in a jug.
Mix the wet mixture into a well in the dry ingredients.
Form a dough, shape into an oval, and place in the tin.
Dust with flour and bake for 35 to 40 minutes before cooling.
Boil the potato for 15 minutes, then cut into small pieces.
Simmer haddock with bay leaf, shallot, and milk in a pan.
Sauté onions in butter, then stir in garlic, potato, corn, and beans.
Flake the haddock and strain the cooking milk into the onion mixture.
Add all remaining seafood and parsley to the pan and warm through.
Serve the hot chowder with slices of fresh soda bread.
