Steps

  • Butter a 1 litre pudding basin and pour in 30 ml of honey.
  • Combine the remaining honey and other ingredients in a bowl and whisk for two minutes.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared basin over the honey layer.
  • Cover the basin with pleated parchment and foil and secure tightly with string.
  • Steam the basin in a large pan with water halfway up the sides for 75 minutes.
  • Release the pudding with a knife and turn onto a plate to serve hot.
