Steps

  • Heat a griddle pan until it is smoking.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the ciabatta and season with salt and pepper.
  • Griddle the ciabatta for two minutes on each side.
  • Cook the bacon in a frying pan for three minutes and drain the fat.
  • Add garlic, onion, and mushrooms and cook for one minute.
  • Add cream and Stilton and cook until the cheese melts.
  • Remove from heat, stir in the egg yolk, and adjust seasoning.
  • Pour the sauce over the griddled ciabatta and serve.
