Steps

  • Beat the eggs in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat the butter in a frying pan until it begins to foam.
  • Pour in the eggs and cook until the bottom is lightly set.
  • Push the set edges toward the center repeatedly until the eggs are mostly set but soft.
  • Add the cheese and three-quarters of the ham to the center.
  • Increase heat to high for 30 seconds to brown the bottom.
  • Fold the omelette and slide it onto a plate.
  • Sprinkle the remaining ham over the top to serve.
