Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Dissolve 150g sugar in 75ml water and boil for 8-10 minutes until a dark caramel forms.
  • Coat the plums in the caramel and transfer to a small ovenproof dish.
  • Cream 150g butter and 150g sugar until fluffy, then beat in eggs and fold in flour.
  • Spoon the batter over the plums and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
