Steps

  • Season chicken with salt and marinate with garlic, chilies, half the onions, and lemon juice in the fridge.
  • Add oil to the chicken mixture and transfer to a large saucepan.
  • Add 250ml of water and cook covered over medium heat for 30 minutes until cooked through.
  • Strain the liquid and grill the chicken pieces for 15 minutes until browned.
  • Reduce the reserved liquid in a pan with remaining onions and a little oil for 20 minutes.
  • Place grilled chicken on a plate and pour the reduced sauce over it.
