Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a 20cm square tin with parchment.
  • Simmer dates, cinnamon, and 325ml water in a saucepan for 5 minutes.
  • Mash the mixture with a fork into a rough purée.
  • Mix the date purée with all remaining ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Press the mixture into the tin and bake for 30 minutes until firm.
  • Cool completely in the tin before cutting into bars.
