Steps

  • Boil 1cm diced potatoes in salted water until tender.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry mustard seeds, turmeric, and chopped onions until softened.
  • Drain potatoes and add them to the onion mixture in the pan.
  • Season with salt and pepper, then cook gently.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and simmer for one minute.
  • Stir in chopped coriander to finish the bhaji.
  • Preheat the grill until hot.
  • Brush whiting fillets with melted butter and season with salt and pepper.
  • Grill the fish for 4 to 5 minutes until cooked through.
  • Serve the grilled fish with the bhaji and lemon slices.
