Steps

  • Cook sausages in a pan and slice them lengthways halfway through.
  • Whisk the flour, eggs, and milk into a smooth batter.
  • Place sausages into a baking dish and pour the batter around them.
  • Bake at 180°C for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let the dish rest after removing it from the oven.
  • Mix diced celery, tomatoes, and apples in a bowl.
  • Melt butter in a pan with brown sugar, vinegar, chilli sauce, and tomato paste.
  • Simmer the sauce for five minutes before adding the diced vegetables.
  • Allow the salsa to cool and stir in the fresh herbs.
  • Pour the salsa over the sausages and serve immediately.
