Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 170°C.
  • Wrap the garlic bulb in foil and roast on a tray for 45 minutes until soft.
  • Squeeze the soft garlic cloves from the bulb and chop them finely once cooled.
  • Beat the cream in a mixer for 5 minutes until solid butter separates from the liquid.
  • Strain the mixture through a muslin-lined colander and squeeze out all remaining liquid.
  • Mix the butter with the chopped garlic, salt, and parsley in a bowl.
  • Brush the bread with oil and cook on a hot griddle pan for 2 minutes per side.
  • Spread the prepared garlic butter onto the toasted bread and serve.
