Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  • Mix cumin, coriander, chilli flakes, and peppercorns in a bowl.
  • Coat the chicken slices thoroughly in the spice mixture.
  • Heat oil in an ovenproof pan and sear chicken until golden brown.
  • Roast chicken in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes until cooked.
  • Melt butter and honey in a frying pan.
  • Place figs cut-side down in the pan and roast for 5 minutes.
  • Add balsamic vinegar and reduce over high heat for one minute.
  • Serve chicken with figs and drizzle with pan juices.
