Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Bake almonds on a tray for 7-10 minutes until golden, then coarsely grind.
  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Sieve and beat in the cocoa powder.
  • Beat the egg and yolk together and stir into the mixture.
  • Mix in crushed biscuits, ground almonds, and liqueur.
  • Spoon into a lined 20x10cm loaf tin, press down, and chill for four hours.
  • Invert the tin onto a dish and remove the film.
  • Decorate with desired toppings before serving.
