Method
1
Boil the lentils in plenty of water for 25 to 30 minutes until tender and drain.

Heat oil in a large pan and cook the ginger and garlic pastes for one minute.

Stir in the tomato purée and all remaining spices, cooking for 2 to 3 minutes.

Add the cooked lentils and continue cooking for 30 minutes.

Stir in the butter and cream before serving.
