Steps

  • Heat 15ml of oil in a frying pan and fry the bacon until crisp.
  • Stir in the chestnuts and transfer the mixture to a container to cool.
  • Shred the trimmed sprouts using a food processor attachment.
  • Heat the remaining oil in a large pan and fry the bacon and chestnut mixture for 2 minutes.
  • Add the sprouts and stir-fry for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
  • Fry breadcrumbs with lemon zest in butter for 3 minutes until golden.
  • Stir the breadcrumbs into the sprouts and serve immediately.
