Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Pulse flour, sugar, and baking powder in a food processor.
  • Add milk and melted butter while pulsing to form a dough ball.
  • Flatten the dough on a floured surface and cut into wedges.
  • Fry wedges in an ovenproof pan for 2 minutes per side.
  • Bake wedges in the oven for 8 minutes until golden-brown.
  • Cook apple sauce ingredients in a pan for 7 minutes until tender.
  • Mash the cooked apple mixture with a fork.
  • Serve the warm scones with apple sauce and clotted cream.
