Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and add the chilli and garlic.
Add the basil leaves after one minute and wilt them gently in the oil.
Remove the garlic, basil, and chilli from the pan and set them aside.
Add the chopped tomatoes to the frying pan.
Return the garlic, basil, and chilli to the pan and simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.
Season the sauce with salt to taste.
Boil the pasta in salted water with a dash of oil for a few minutes until cooked.
Drain the pasta and combine it with the prepared tomato sauce.
Serve the dish immediately with shavings of parmesan cheese.
