Steps

  • Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and add the chilli and garlic.
  • Add the basil leaves after one minute and wilt them gently in the oil.
  • Remove the garlic, basil, and chilli from the pan and set them aside.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes to the frying pan.
  • Return the garlic, basil, and chilli to the pan and simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.
  • Season the sauce with salt to taste.
  • Boil the pasta in salted water with a dash of oil for a few minutes until cooked.
  • Drain the pasta and combine it with the prepared tomato sauce.
  • Serve the dish immediately with shavings of parmesan cheese.
