Steps

  • Blanch the spinach in hot water for three minutes until wilted.
  • Drain the spinach and cool under cold running water.
  • Blend the spinach into a smooth paste and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry cumin for 30 seconds.
  • Add onion and cook over low heat for six minutes until soft.
  • Add ginger, garlic, and chillies and cook for one minute.
  • Add ground coriander and salt and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Add spinach paste and simmer for three minutes.
  • Add paneer, garam masala, and milk or cream.
  • Cook for a few minutes until creamy and stir in lemon juice.
