'Mr Carrot' on Creamed Carrot

Steps

  • Boil chopped carrots in salted water for six minutes until softened and drain.
  • Melt butter in a frying pan and stir in the cooked carrots.
  • Add 150ml cream and 2 tbsp wine then simmer for five minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper and spoon onto a plate.
  • Boil one whole trimmed carrot in salted water for five minutes until tender and drain.
  • Stand the whole carrot vertically in the center of the creamed carrots to serve.
