Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  • Combine the beef, parmesan, breadcrumbs or oats, parsley, eggs, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Grease a 28cm round baking tin with butter and press the meat mixture into the bottom.
  • Mix drained tomatoes with garlic oil, oregano, salt, and pepper and spread over the meat.
  • Arrange mozzarella slices on top and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the meat is cooked.
  • Let the dish rest for five minutes and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
