Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Boil the meat in stock for one hour.
  • Add potatoes and simmer until soft and thickened.
  • Season with salt and let the mixture stand for 30 minutes.
  • Sift flour and rub in fats until mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
  • Mix in salt and water to form a stiff dough.
  • Wrap dough and chill for 20 minutes.
  • Fill a pie dish with the meat mixture.
  • Roll pastry to 1cm thickness and cover the dish.
  • Seal the edges and brush with egg and milk glaze.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until golden-brown.
