Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Line a bun tray with squares of baking parchment.
  • Beat the sugar and butter with an electric mixer until pale and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs followed by the flour and ground almonds until incorporated.
  • Fold the marzipan pieces into the cake mixture.
  • Divide the mixture into the tray and scatter 3 to 4 berries over each.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until the cakes are springy to the touch.
  • Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve while warm.
