Steps

  • Rinse the elderflower heads gently to remove dirt and insects.
  • Pour 1.7 l of boiling water over 900 g of sugar in a bowl.
  • Stir the mixture well and allow it to cool.
  • Add 50 g of citric acid, orange slices, lemon slices, and elderflowers to the bowl.
  • Steep in a cool place for 24 hours while stirring occasionally.
  • Strain the liquid through muslin and pour into sterilised bottles.
