Steps

  • Combine the milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla pod in a medium pan.
  • Heat the mixture gently without boiling until it coats the back of a spoon.
  • Chill the mixture or prepare to serve it hot.
  • Place halved cherries into the bottom of each glass.
  • Divide the brandy between the glasses and pour the eggnog over it.
  • Dust with cocoa powder and serve immediately.
