Steps

  • Preheat oven to 190°C and line a baking tray with parchment.
  • Beat the sugar and butter together then add the egg yolk and vanilla.
  • Sift flour, cocoa, and salt together and stir into the butter mixture with the chopped chocolate.
  • Roll teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, place 2.5cm apart, and flatten slightly.
  • Bake for 10 minutes and cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Melt the coating chocolates separately in a microwave or over simmering water.
  • Dip cooled biscuits halfway into chocolate and set on parchment.
