Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Score the onion cut surface and drizzle with 15ml of olive oil.
  • Fry the onion cut-side-down in an ovenproof pan for four minutes until golden.
  • Flip the onion and roast in the oven for 8-10 minutes until soft.
  • Fry the sausage in 15ml of olive oil for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  • Slice the sausage in half lengthways.
  • Fill the sausage with cheddar and bake for six minutes until cooked through.
