Steps

  • Heat a griddle pan and brush banana halves with 25g of melted butter.
  • Griddle the bananas for 1-2 minutes on each side and set aside.
  • Melt 55g of butter in a saucepan and stir in brown sugar and chopped chilli.
  • Add 125ml of cream and a pinch of salt then bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Simmer the sauce for 2-3 minutes until smooth and thickened.
  • Plate the griddled bananas and pour the butterscotch sauce over them.
